Abrigo

Abrigo is a Spanish noun that primarily means a coat or overcoat, or a refuge. It refers to warm clothing, protection against the elements, or figuratively, a place of safety. In a global context of indiscriminate and systematic destruction of life-sustaining conditions, we continue to center collectivity and mutual care through words, sounds, images, materials, and foundational technologies that depend on entanglement and interconnectedness.

Abrigo features painting, textile sculpture, poetry, sound and film.
